Once Shot Bullets?
Hey everyone,
Went out shooting tonight, and while I was making my normal rounds looking for brass I found some of my bullets from the last few weeks of shooting. I shoot at about 8,000 ft here in Wyoming, on some public land. I always go to the same spot, and there is still plenty of snow to catch/stop the bullets. With all the warm weather we have had, my snow bank has almost completely melted and at the bottom of the snow I have found about a hundred bullets. They are in excellent condition, they have the rifling marks down the side and are pretty cool.
I think I know the answer to my own question here, but are there any instances where you can reuse these? I am guessing no, but hey, you never know.
The bullets were my reloads, shot out of a stock g20. 180 Montana Gold JHP out of starline brass with aa#2 for the powder.

No way!!! Pressure is affected by the resistance of the barrel and bullet as it leaves the chamber. If the bullet has been fired and has expanded in some places and made smaller in others then you are surely asking for trouble! Don't be cheap. Just toss them. No since in risking your life over that. Yes, you knew the answer.

Don't toss 'em...save all you can, get some wheel weights, and cast your own. Thats aboutt he only "reuse" you can get out of them, making a fesh new bullet.

Prudence syas no. There have been people that have done it though, just to see if it works & it does to a certain degree. More like a SHTF/Afghan rebel type scenario. No sense risking your gun for a 5c bullet.

+1 Even if it shot, the accuracy would likely stink as the projectiles has already been engraved, Doubtful how well it's going to obturate the second time or engage the rifling. At best it would make noise, at worse it would hurt you and/or the gun.
