Food dehydration question
I'm trying to store food by dehydrating it and have a question.
Once dehydrated, how do you store it without mason jars?
I'd like to use 1 gallon mylar bags (which I have a ton of).
I was thinking I'd store it like this:
1. Put the dehydrated food in a freezer bag.
2. Put the freezer bag in a mylar bag with a 100cc oxygen absorber.
3. Store in a cool, dry place.
Does this sound adequate?
How do you do it? I'd like to stay away from bulky, harder to store mason jars.
