Use G29 upper on G30sf frame?

OK, The G29 & G30 are the same frame. I don't know about the Short frame.

Long story short- I had a grip reduction by a company who did a poor job. I've thought about getting a G30 for some time, If I did I could "save" my poor G29.

You are vague as to what you are asking? I will try to answer anyway:
Yes the standard 29/30 frames are the same.
Yes the 29SF/30SF frames are the same.
The standard frames and SF frames are different from each other.

Sounds like your grip reduction on a 29 sucks? How would purchasing a 30 save the 29.... unless you intend to use both top ends on the same frame?
Yes the standard 29/30 slide will fit the 29SF/30SF frame.
Yes the 29SF/30SF slide will fit the standard 29/30 frame.

Thank you for reply. Yes it answers the question. Sorry for being vague.

The grip reduction does suck! It's one of those things you cant undo. So thanks Heritage Firearms.

I would not carry a G29 & a G30 at the same time, so my intention is to swap uppers when needed.

All you need is an upper and the correct mag. Everything else is the same
