How do Bianchi Speed Strips work?

Can somebody explain to me (or point me to a video) on how the Bianchi Speed Strips work?

How can a straight strip be used to load a round cylinder?

I have seen a video, but cannot find it now.

here is a photo from the Bianchi web site. You stick in 2 rounds and twist the speed strip off. Kind of.

I have to use the strips since I changed to Pachmayr grips. The strips are a bit slower, but with practice, not too bad.

Wow, speedstrips. I didn't even use those going back to 1988 as LEO. We used HKS speedloaders for our .38s.

That video shows that the speedloader is about 3x faster than the speed strips. No wonder I never used strips. I think you would be better off changing your grips than having to use strips. In a real life shootout and reload you can forget about getting those rounds in on time or in place.

When I carried a S&W Model 10 as my service revolver I had 2 speed loaders (HKS) im a pouch in front of my holster and a single metal lined dump box with a speed strip right behind it. Typical course of fire involved shooting the six in the revolver when qualifing but I figured if I got involved in something and got a chance to 'top off my revolver' I'd use the speed strip rather than the speed loader. As to the way to use them, as stated, load two rounds and twist, the cartridges will pop out and drop right in to the chambers.

Load two at a time and with practice it will work for you. Speed strips also are very easy to conceal. You also do not have to worry about a failed release. I generally carry two strips when carrying my J frame.

We used Speed Strips in the 1970s with our heavy barrel model 10 revolvers.......

I've got a new 638 and the HKS speedloader I have(model 36) gets caught
on the grips if you push the rounds to far in. I find the strips I have a much more positive although a little slower...

Speed strips are super concealable and, with practice, almost as fast as a speed loader. On a 5-shot snubbie you load 2, load 2, and drop the last round. It takes almost as long to index and load the last one as it does the 4 before it.

You don't have to twist, you can load straight in.

And you don't have to load every round, you can get back in the fight with two if you're in a hurry, maybe 4. That 5th and maybe 6th round can slow you down.

Empty?
Eject all, load two, shoot two.
If two for sure is all you still need.

In addition to Bianchi, check out Tuff strips, they offer more calibers, sizes, and colors.
