Mosin Nagant Bolt Metal Problems

I bought a mosin and shot it a couple of times, using corrosive ammo. I would clean it with ammonia windex right after shooting. I recently put it away for a while and when I took it out to my horror it looked like this all over the bolt:
I assume this is because I didn't clean it properly from using corrosive ammo, but how can I fix it? Is it toast and I should be getting a new bolt? I tried searching,, but all I found was how to clean it after shooting corrosive ammo before it gets messed up. Thank you for your help in advance.

It you insist on using ammonia windex, I would wipe it down with some oil to nuetralize that stuff. Don't forget there's also water in that stuff, and that not the best thing to leave on bare metal.
Is your bolt fried, NO of coarse not. Just take some steel wool and rub if down, and keep it lubed. By the look of the photo it just looks stained...

BTW: You can't just through in a bolt in those sucker without dealing with headspace.
BTW2: Best place to find bolts for C&R's would be places like Century arms. You would likey have to call them.

Good Luck...

I shoot corrosive ammo in mine too, no biggie really. The key is neutralizing the corrosive salts. Why not just use hot soapy water followed by a regular cleaning like hoppes #9?The ammonia is what is staining your bolt.I use shampoo lol and it works fine.

Run some patches through with the hot soapy water till it comes out dry then follow with a regular bore solvent like hoppes.

Or just don't use corrosive, the other ammo alternatives aren't that expensive.
