I really like how the 200 grain noslers hold together. I have had great weight retention on ones I have recovered from dirt banks. I get about another 100 fps velocity out of a stock G20 barrel than you had from the whitness.

So you get an honest 1175 fps from a G20 with 4.6" factory barrel. DoubleTap must be using a "magic" G29 to claim 1195 fps from a 3.78" barrel.

From the DoubleTap website ammo specs:
Caliber : 10mm

Bullet : 200gr Nosler JHP

Ballistics : 1250fps / 694ft lbs. muzzle - 5"bbl
1083fps / 521 ft lbs 100yds 5"bbl
Glock 29 - 1195fps Muzzle

Chronographed last weekend 1175 at about 20 feet. Their advertised velocity is off a little (they say 1250 fps at the muzzle with a 5" barrel) but I like the performance of the bullet more than anything. I will probably get some nosler bullets once they are available again and load them myself. I'm not trying to defend Double Tap at all because I don't like it any more than anyone else that the numbers I get don't match the box but in reality they aren't that far off.

I checked my actual numbers after work tonight. My 5 shot average was 1173 fps at 7 yards. If you correct the 1250 at the muzzle and 1083 at 100 yards to get a speed at 7 yards it's about 1238 with their 5" bbl. Its only a 65 fps difference so thats why I said above that yes the velocity is misleading but its not as bad as alot of what I have read says. Also DT has obviously calculated velocity at the muzzle and rounded to a good number so that could be where some of the difference comes in as well.
Now the amount the claimed box velocity with the 200 gr WFNGC is off is quite a bit more since I got pretty much identical velocity 1171 fps same distance but DT says it should be 50 fps faster.
