CCW in Arkansas - Knife?

I have a Florida CCW, which is recognized in Arkansas. Does Arkansas include concealed knives under its CCW laws? Can I conceal a knife?

Thanks!

Bueller? Anyone?

I'm going to a wedding in Arkansas. I now see that CCW is prohibited in churches. I would have thought Arkansas (of all places) would be a gun-friendly state. Also see that you're supposed to inform any home you visit that you are carrying??? Good gawd.

About 3 years or so ago, Arkansas removed the restriction on knives. You can carry any knife except a switchblade open or concealed.

Thanks! Got my first real knife (two, actually) on the way. So, is the CCW / CHL restriction on churches still in place? Bringing my G27. Will be the first time I've traveled with a gun.

Everybody here in Arkansas carries a knife of some kind, at least anybody with a little sense.

Basically, if you've gotten the cop mad at you, any knife works to charge you, and if you don't, they're not hunting an excuse.

Sort of a 'don't screw up, don't tell' policy.

IMO. This does not constitute legal advice. I wouldn't strap on a katana and go to church, either.

Tulsa isn't far enough from Arkansas that we aren't familiar with that fine state, and there's a real pragmatic streak in Arkies and Okies both. Not building a problem is one of our favorite hobbies.

Arkansas Repeals Anti-Knife Statute

AKTI Successfully Sponsors Arkansas
Bill That Repeals Knife Ownership As a
Weapons Offense and Protects More
Than One Million Residents and
Recreational Visitors

February 12, 2007
The American Knife and Tool Institute (AKTI)
continues to move forward in its defense of
individual knife owners. More than one million
Arkansas knife owners and knife-owning visitors
can now breathe easier, thanks to House Bill 1235,
introduced by AKTI and signed into law by Governor
Mike Beebe on Friday, February 9, 2007.
The new law totally repealed Arkansas Criminal
Code section 5-73-121 which stated, in part … “(b)
If a person carries a knife with a blade three and
one-half inches (3 ”) long or longer, this fact is
prima facie proof that the knife is carried as a
weapon.” Rather than try to rewrite the statute,
members of the House Judiciary Committee
actually recommended that the entire statute be
repealed.
