Got a new P380 last week and have been to the range 3 times. It is the best shooting gun of all the pocket 380s - and I've shot most every one. Also own a P3AT.

It can be a little tricky in the takedown/reassembly process, but it's loosening up. Couldn't be happier.

I practice the way I'd use it (hopefully never) 1-handed, point and shoot, the hell with the sights. If I can hit a paper plate every time from 7 yards, I'm good to go, and I do it with the Kahr. I'm used to the trigger because I have a PM9 and a CW9. Really shortens the learning curve.

Used to take a Glock, a Beretta, a Kel-Tec and a Colt to the range and was all over the place because the triggers were all completely different. I may sell them off and standardize on the Kahr's. Think I'll keep the G36 for HD right next to my JC Higgins 12 ga pump I cut to 18 1/4".

From everything I've been reading, the P380 is the top dog 380 ACP pocket pistol on the market.

I just purchased a P380 and I like it a lot. It is going to replace a Walther PPK and a Ruger LCP. The p380 is expensive but in my opinion is the best of the .380 pistols. Accuracy is about a 3 inch group offhand at 20 - 25 yards.

Ran 70rds through mine today---50 Independence FMJ's, 10 BB 90gr standard pressure JHP's, and 10 BB 90gr +P JHP's. Not one hiccup. I'm pleased.

I think you may want to check out the Rohrbaugh. But they're pricey.

The Rohrbaugh may be more expensive but not sure it is better than the P380. A few years back, Gun Tests compared the Rohrbaugh 9mm with the PM9 and the Kahr won. Don't like the mag release on the Rohrbaugh. Don't like the price either.

There is a lot more to this story than was prinded in the Gun Test article. To understand fully, you have to also read the reply that Karl Rohrbaugh wrote to them.
