I didn't read all the posts in this thread, but I figured I'd mention that my local Gander Mountain store has both G17 and G22 RTFs in-stock at this time. The helpful guy behind the counter also told me there were more than a few of them floating around in their system, and that guns can be transferred between stores if your local store is "out" (although they may charge a fee to do so).
Now, the bad news: price is $599.99 at my local Gander. They only have one G17RTF on hand (the display model), but there are like five G22RTFs in-stock.
If anyone is looking for one, I hope your Holidays are now a little more merry.

Serial number nmpxxx birth date is 7-22-09

If you intend to carry your G22, the finish on the outside, needs to be dremeled off!
It hikes your cover garment up, I went over the parts that were too rough with sand paper, now can shoot it a lot, no pain.
Put an extended slide lock on it, TruGlow fiber optic sights, you are good to go.
Dave Syvigny saying the gills are on backward must have hurt! But true.

Or a OD Frame RTF 2 in any caliber...............

Ive been doing some research for a friend. She picked up a G22 RTF2 with gills in a local shop last night. Here's the thing - it appears to either be a Talo/EXO model or have a the NIB-X finish. Serial starts with NPZ with a test fire date of July 2009.

Just found another G23 RTF2 with "Gills" an hour ago. SN starts with PEV. Only 35 #'s away from my other PEV. 5 more left at Gander Mountains in Minnesota!!
