Just picked up two new Gillies. This makes three in total and I'm still looking for another elusive G19. Anyone know of a store that has one NIB?

Sorry I have not gotten back sooner concerning the "ordered" Glock 22 Gen 4 (Jan 2011), just got busy. I received the pistol on 11 February 2011, one week early. Came in a special shipment of Glocks to the dealer. Price was $395.95 plus tax (Military/Law Enforcement special). THE GLOCK DID NOT HAVE GILLS. Serial # RDC XXX . And yes, there is no difference between civilian and LE/MIL. Glocks. The ONLY difference is if you order directly from GLOCK for a LAW ENFORCEMENT / MILITARY bulk shipment and specify "special serial numbers (example ONLY -like Tucson PD would request TPD 001, 002, 003 etc.), otherwise serial numbers are NOT marked Military/Law Enforcement.

Neat.... but you do know that a GEN4 is not an RTF2, right? That's one of the 'new-fangled RTF 3' models that was never cool enough to have gills.

Actually, I thought we were talking about the "newer" models of "RTF" BUT no, I did not know that the new Gen 4 was a "RTF3". Thank you for the info.
Now that I have the Gen 4 I have to wait for a manufacturer to produce a "Slug Plug" for it. I have already added the "2 round" extensions to my 6 magazines, thus I am capable of loading 17 rounds in the mag (and 1 in the pipe if you like, I do not). But due to my "old" military training I never fully "top off" a magazine. When it was a 15 I had it loaded with 14, now that it is a 17 I have it loaded with 16. A lot of talk about weaking mag springs etc., for me it is just a "thing" from the past (M-14, original M-16, etc.).

I stumbled upon a LNIB G19 RTF2 w Gills in a Pawn Shop this morning. It appears to have been fired very little - if at all - could pass for new. The spent cartridge was absent from the box but everything else was there. No idea of the "born on" date -- but the serial number is NYB8xx. This one has the Glock adj. rear sight (I'll be changing that) and I got it for $427.
Also, Academy Sports here had the RTF2 G23s with Gills on sale for $479 a couple of weeks ago. I missed the sale, but saw that they still had one in the case. I might see if the manager will still honor the sale price. If so, I may just have to pick one up to keep my new to me G19RTF2 company!

Congratulations on the purchase.
I've been looking for a second one (G19 RTF2 w/Gills) since I got my first one. I bet I've called 50 dealers and sent a ton of emails to individuals/dealers inquiring about one. Found one that was sold by the time the dealer go back to me and one that the guy decided to trade with someone else. Cabelas said they had them and then called back and said they didn't have any left. I even joined some more forums so I would have access to their want ads. Nothing so far.
I can find the G19 RTF2 but not with the GILLS.

I can't speak for all the gilled RTF2s except for the fact that the 17s came both with or without factory night sights. There was a $50 difference in the price of the G17s (with and without factory NS) at my dealer's shop.

at my shop it was going for $519 before taxes. is this pricing correct for with the oem night sights??
i wanted night sights anyway, with contrasting rear sights to the front one. oh well the factory glock ones will do

Bachman Pawn & Guns (Dallas, TX) had a bunch of them at the gunshow a few weeks ago. The G17 RTF2 w/gills and regular sights was $449.99 and the G17 RTF2 w/gills with factory night sights was 499.99. They were the only ones that had them with factory night sights. They were also the cheapest. Other dealers had the ones with regular sights for $499 (and some even higher than that)!!
I actually paid $499 for my first G17 RTF2 w/gills because it was the cheapest I could find it. Then I ran across the ones Bachman had and grabbed another one.....$449 was too good to pass up.
I'm going to the gunshow Saturday and am going to see if they still have some at the same price.
At the same gunshow I also found some Glock 19s RTF2 but with vertical slide serrations (can't remember the price). Purchased the "one and only" NIB Glock 19 RTF2 w/gills from a very small dealer (from a small town) that must have had it awhile. He said he had more of them but when he looked he didn't.
Seems as if there are still a lot of the Glock 17 RTF2 w/gills around.
$519.........not terrible in my opinion, only $10 more than the ones I saw, and only one dealer had them.

Well they make the RTF2 with the vertical slide serrations now (some models, supposedly LE only but you know how that goes). Or you can buy the RTF2 lower from Glockmeister or Lone Wolf, can't remember who.
But yes, swapping works fine, at least between the GEN3s. I swapped one of my G17 RTF2 w/gill lowers and put it on my Glock 17C and it works just fine (all are GEN3 guns).
Funny thing about the gills......when they first came out I didn't like or want them, now it's all I want. Go figure!!

I did count your G19 already. I even congratulated you and 45_Gap for both having all 4 models (page 5, post 106).

WOW that's a great price. I just picked up another one for $459 which was $10 higher than one I bought last week. And previous to those two I saw them for $499 on up. So you did great!!!!! I would have snapped that one up also.

I just took delivery of a G22 RTF2 with Gills, factory night sights, and the slide engraved with "Decatur County Sheriff's Office" and badge. From the look of the seal, it appears to be from Decatur County, GA. The price shipped was $390 from a member here -- and the pistol could pass for BNIB -- it even has the copper anti-sieze compound in the slide.
A great deal -- and nice companion to my G19 RTF2 with gills.

What a Great Day on so many different levels! I have located and soon to be the new owner of a G23c RTF2! I should have it by next week! This was supposed to be my CCW present to myself - but since I found it early I 'pulled the trigger' on the purchase. My class is on Saturday.
FWIW: I had a G19c on order with my local dealer for a month and canceled the order. Although not a Glock I am also a new and proud owner of a FNH FNX-9.
I would have loved to have the Glock G19c but ecstatic of finding the G23c RTF2 after having turned a cheek to one at a local gun show (it was gone on my return trip to the vendor!).
Anywho...
I'll let you know about the particulars when I have the firearm in hand.

My own RTF2 is my carry pistol, much rubbed down, as it used to pull on my carry shirt! But it will stay in a holster, that a Gen4 will never sit, till the spring assembly is perfected, as it is not now with the 04 replacement.
The RTF2 is perfect for those amongst us, who's hands do not perspire (ME!)
