Windows/ installer

If any one cares to tell me how to fix this it would be appreciated.

C:/windows/installer does not exist.

I'm fairly literate but don't want to do something i shouldn't.

I had to reinstall my printer software and drivers. Had to get HP for help and the tech could not install either. After (searching around in my hard drive?) he found that this was missing.

if it makes a difference I have a RUN DLL error on start up.

Go here and try installing this. If you cant load that link go to microsoft.com and search for windows installer.

Tagged for future reference.

I'm having a similar problem with Windows 7 -- 64 bit. The installer won't run and won't uninstall a game demo (Wolfenstein).

When I have Windows installer problems, I will sometimes use Dial a Fix. This is a free download. Just checkmark the Fix windows installer and it will do the rest. Once in a while I will have to do it a second time.
