Scope recomedation for 308

I'm going to be purchasing a Remington 700 SPS .308 soon. This one here http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...ducts_id/42070 I know very litttle about scopes and long arms in general. I'm buying this gun basically because I don't have a high power rifle lol. I may do some deer hunting with it who knows. Anyway, I have friends that like to stick with Leupold and Nikon. Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks -Wade-

If this is for deer the barrel is to heavy to carry around all day. Ask your self what is your intended target animal or human? How much movement do you plan to do ? What type of detail do you need to see ( Target Detail) before you commit to squeezing the trigger? What is you min and max engagement ranges? How much are you willing to spend for quality optics, rings and mounts? How much do you plan to shoot this weapon a year?
