I am quite speachless
Just acquired -through this Forum - a used P30 in 9mm. It's used, it has been shot, and am really quite open-mouthed really.
This thing shoots like a crazy thing, has some form of recoil management system that I can't pinpoint but it's crazy good, fits my hand like a glove, makes unreal groups considering I had never shot it before. Shot it head to head with full size steel Beretta's and could not believe the recoil.
I am left handed, and I think this a lefty dream of a gun. Love the magazine release, which is fantastic. It wasn't a novel concept for me (Walther P22) but in a combat handgun is SO welcome for a south paw.
So, I am so happy. It's my first H&K, and I feel am late to a party, but the party is still on.
___________
A question: the slide lock lever in my gun is very tight on the left side, considerably looser on the right: is this normal or should I worry about it?

the slide lock lever does that on some pistols. here is a thread on hkpro that details a couple of home fixes:

Welcome to the HK party!
Now get yourself an HK45 as a companion to your P30.

I will get there, it will take a while to put the money aside, but in the meantime it's all good.
