"Rigid Recoil Rod" - Any Good?

I saw in Numrich Gun Parts a "Ridid Recoil Rod" for Glocks. Supposedly, this thing slips into the stock polymer rod, and decreases lock time, reduced jams, etc. Does this thing actually provide any benefit, or is it just hype??

The inserts were offered years ago. The first to bring them to market was manufactured by Tony Scherer. The idea was simple but never took off.
If you want a ridged rod step up to the plate and purchase stainless or tungsten. http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Search.aspx?TERM=lwd-gr
