Interesting article... I'm not sure I agree w/ him on how he's bagging on 9.10 vs. 9.04. I thought 9.04 was slow, and 9.10 gave many improvements.
10.04, has been really really solid. I agree w/ him though, Canonical has a tendency to do 2-3 "mediocre" releases(I don't think any of them have been bad), then they come out w/ a really good one... I didn't like Ubuntu 8.04 at all, and honestly only used it about a month, then reverted to 7.10 until 8.10 came out. It was OK at first, but it seemed to have more bugs than what I was used to w/ Ubuntu.
