How to do a Redneck Boresight....

I took the FAR308 Titan out this AM after installing the scope and doing a Redneck Boresight..

My Dad showed me this when I was a kid on bolt action rifles. After going to Cabelas (offers free boresighting) and them saying they couldn't do my AR because of the high tactical rings...I said screw it, i'll do it myself.
Redneck Boresight = Rifle vise, remove rifle bolt, tape a target on a wall @ 25 ft and mark the target bullseye. Look through barrel of rifle and get centered on the bullseye. Mount optics and adjust Elev/Wndg so center is true and an inch north of BE. Take to range or desert for 3 shots to see where you are on paper (if you get on paper mind you..lol)

In this case I removed the upper and the bolt and put it in the vise.

I almost spent $90.00 on that lazer job.... i'll stick with dad's redneck way for now until it doesn't work...lmao!!

$90.00 buys more ammo..

Lots of gimmicks out there to take your money for sure.
We have been doing it the same way for 40 years.
