Our own Fire_Medic helped me out today by convincing his boss to ship a gun that I have been looking for for a very long time. So I want to publicly thank him here on GT. THANKS GABE

NIB 9mm Springer Mil-Spec. I have been looking for one to use as a base for a custom gun, but all the ones I found were over priced, or abused.

He had posted in another thread that the shop he works at part-time had two in stock. We have been PMing back and forth since last Sat., and his boss finally agreed to ship it today. They had already sold one of them.

It was in a post by jrsaccord93 or something like that ( the guy that is trying to catch BAC lol). He posted about how he just recieved one and Fire_Medic said his shop had two in-stock.

Gabe is a great guy and its always nice to see one member helping another.
This 1911 forum on GT may be the best forum I've ever been proud to be a part of, gun related or otherwise. We have a very good group here, with mutual respect, tons of knowledge and experience, good humor, and minimal bickering.
I love it and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that.

Thank you very much brother, this was not necessary. I'm glad I could help you out, that gun had been sitting there for a while and no one even knew what it was. I would have bought it myself but jumped on the Valor. Make sure to let me know when you receive it and to post your own thread with pictures. I went over the pistol with a silicone cloth before putting it inside the box so you get it nice and shiny.

Thats the main reason I'm here. I have never been on a forum that I enjoyed as much as this one. Although this 1911 section may get me in trouble with the fiance sooner or later

I agree 100%. I have subsided from posting pretty much anywhere anymore except here in the 1911 forum on GT, and a couple of AR related forums. I'm glad to see this forum picked up for a while it had slowed down a lot and there wasn't as much traffic. And like you said the bickering is minimal if at all, and we all bug the crap out of each other with our twisted sense of humors. But we also help each other out, and I think the newer guys don't mind posting in here for questions because the flame patrol doesn't come along with BS.

It does seem to be really different than any other part of GT to me as well. I was thinking about this the other day when people were busting each others chops in your DE 1911 thread.
