I have been having FTE problems using 127gr +p+ Ranger ammo. The FTE occurs with my Gen 2 G19 and my G26(test fired Oct'09). I noticed on my G19, it only occurs when I use the newer mags with #6 follower. The original gen 2 mags work fine; however, I did install Wolff extra power mag springs in the older mags. Should I try installing the extra power mag springs in all the mags? I also ordered a Wolff recoil spring calibration pack with 17#, 18#, 20# springs and guide rod assembly for my G26. I heard I could have stove pipe problems with the heavier recoil springs. I would appreciate any input.

FTE is failure to eject. I don’t see how the followers can affect the ejection. I can understand a problem with "feeding" but not ejecting?

So maybe the extra power wolf mag spring is whats helping it function better with the 127gr +p+ load? Do you think an 18# recoil spring might help also?

Never hurts to try? If the issue is FTE I would suspect a stronger recoil spring will not help as much as a weaker spring. I would be more incline to try a 15 ponder.... but stranger things have happened
