Abandon ship!
Last night I gave my dogs their first dose of Comfortis of the year. Within minutes it started working and the darn things started jumping on me! First fleas I've had on me since last year, they kept jumping into my beard :/
I killed about 7 or 8 with my fingernails before the medicine killed all of them. Was really weird, it's like they knew it was all over and I was responsible.
No more butt chewing, all of us are happier now. Except the fleas.

I've just recently heard of that. From all indications it must be better than Frontline Plus or Advantix. Great news...for you and the dog!

Oh you have no idea how much better it is. I've been using it since they came out. I don't use it year round though because it's $25 a month for two dogs, and really they only need it from May-November.
I've heard that in different areas the liquid medicines don't work, that fleas grow immune to it. People in the 3 places I've lived with these guys all say they work for them, but it never, ever worked on them. The stuff from Wal Mart was just as good as the stuff from the vet, that the vet applied. All worthless.
The delivery in pill form is great, it's hard to mess up. The chemical, they aren't immune to it and hopefully never will be. Just walking the dogs in a part of the yard that has fleas, they clear up very quickly because they jump on the dog, bite, then die.
Fleas got in my couch one year, I gave the dogs Comfortis and they cleared them out too.

I've been very lucky. There's never been fleas on Bubba or ticks. That means no fleas on me or in the house!! Of course, he's not around a lot of dogs, no doggy day care or kennels as if he can't go I don't go. I wouldn't board him at all. We don't go in the woods but do go to parks but I keep him out of the bush knowing some tick could be lurking about waiting to pounce on him. I've had good luck with Frontline Plus and until it stops working that's probably what I'll still use.

At the vet, just ask for it.
It's suppose to be a pork based "beef treat" but I have to break it up into pieces and push it in their throat with my finger. It smells like bug spray to me, no wonder they don't think it's a treat.
