Is the .32 still being used?

Just curious if this round is still widely used or is it going the way of the dinosaur?

I don't know but I picked up another P32 last week since they just shipped out a bunch of the chrome ones. I prefer it to the .380 when it comes to reliability (in this size gun), and I don't lose sleep over the difference in bad-ass-ness.

Maybe I'll just stick with it, I've been trying to get out of the .32 because ammo was getting hard to come by, but I can't even sell the ammo I have now.
I do like that it is easy to carry and my Kel Tec is very reliable .

.32 ammo is still very available online (.380 isn't). Name brand ammo can be found cheaper than 9mm also.

When the .380 ammo was at its hardest to find, there were several boxes of .32 everywhere, including local Walmart stores.

.32 and 380 are not 9mm

Ballistically so close - why care?

Ear
Nose
Throat

Either round.

Buy some military suplus 32 if you are concerned.

Shoots fine and cheap

Keep it!

The .32, the 'Gentlemans Caliber' is still very much alive and perfect for deep concealment.

The P32 is alive and well. It has been overshadowed by the P3AT and it's bastard step-child the LCR, but the little 7.65mm trooper marches on. Local gun stors can't keep it in stock and ammunition is easy to find. I've had mine for over ten years and it's certainly not going anywhere!

I have no plans to get rid of ours, it compliments it's bigger brother (the P3AT) in our household nicely!

Just put another 100rds through my 1st generation P32, not one failure of any kind since it was new, that's somewhere around 600rds now. I love this little pistol as a BUG!

I picked up ours (1st generation) years back when I still worked part-time at a Gander Mountain. It was second hand and after we had it in store for over 30 days I was allowed to use my employee's discount. Taxes, background check, all included it ran me $110. out the door.

We've never had a problem with it and have never looked back, it's been a great little addition to our carry guns. And I nearly forgot we did upgrade to the chrome slide (and added a blue lower so the wife could easily distinguish it from our P3AT) back when KelTec offered them for $25.00. Not only did they install the chrome slide but customer service replaced all the springs, and threw in an extra magazine at no additional charge.

Great company!

After much consideration I have decide to load my P32 and put it back into service as I believe that the .32 ACP is the right cartridge for a gun this size. Although admitedly, the .380 provides more power and will benefits more from modern JHP design, I believe that the additional round and increased controllability that the .32 offers evens things out. I have settled on FMJ as my carry load and a Crimson Trace laser unit to assist in delivering effective fire on target. I will be ordering a case of Fiocchi FMJ and I believe that I will be buying a second P32.

My P32 still gets a lot of pocket time. I've put nearly 1,000 rounds through it and it just keeps going.

My PF-9 experience wasn't so smooth unfortunately.

I carry mine all of the time in my pocket. You know what they say about having a gun of any caliber is better than not carrying a gun (usually because of size and weight).

With a good FMJ load like the warmer Fiocchi stuff, it could do the job.

32 caliber has never really been popular in this country for some reason. That being said there's still a few 32 acp guns being turned out(P32, NAA Gardian,Sea Camp, ect.) and even one new(well, still kind of new) 32mag, the 327 Federal Mag which actually boasts 38spl +P power so as far as something small to carry for EDC or CCW I, personally, think the 32 is fine.
