New Streamlight TLR-2s strobe help!

I just purchased the TLR-2s for my home defense. I am totally impressed with the quality and brightness, but I can't get the strobe option to work. I tried to do what the instructions said but nothing happens. I even tried to reset it after 10 minutes of playing with it by momently flashing it nine times and holding on on the tenth try as the manual stated with no luck. Help!

I assume my TLR-1s strobe functions similiarly to your TLR-2s. Are you tapping the paddle quickly enough? If you "hesitate" between taps, the strobe will not activate.

dpmd, yes I've flicked the momentary switch as fast as I could, the manual said it must be within 4 tenths of a second; I'll continue to play with it.

I just bought a TLR-2s also. I am very happy with mine.

Check your owners manual. There is a way to activate/deactivate the strobe feture of the light.

When the stobe is activated, you need to hit the switch down and to the left twice, then all the way right and down real fast, for it to stay on.

A quick double down to the left should get it going......on the second one, try to hold it down.....to switch it over to the right, ya gotta be kinda quick.

just curious if these show up on the for sale section at all or if I should just buy a new one. Who would be the best dealer?

Are you looking for the tlr-1S or the 2S?

TLR-2s. I saw the tlr1 that was in the FS section. Just wondering if the 2010 laser strobe model pops up for sale time to time. Probably not but I felt it was worth asking

160 lumens must be fun to stare at.
