I may be sleeping with my SIS tonight!

My newly aquired Kimber SIS Ultra.
Will be a new adventure with a compact 1911 style weapon.
Have never shot a 1911 smaller than a Commander. Got a good deal locally.

Whew! You had me worried there for a moment. It's early and I haven't gotten my morning cup of coffee yet.
I am not at all familiar with all of the brands and models of 1911's, so the title of your thread was a bit disconcerting for a few seconds.

Nice Kimber! Get ready to be truly impressed & perhaps even re-think, the whole 3" 1911thing. They carry so well, too, but not all are created equal.

Congrats! Nice one, and you'll likely love it when you get the chance to shoot it! The accuracy, short barrel and light weight may help win you over!
