Beautiful furniture. Do you mind sayin' where you got it? I've got a kit I'd like to build, and that wood is great looking!

That is some very hard to come by Ironwood furniture. Rumor has it that more will be available in the future, but right now, pretty rare.

In case you are wondering, thats a Williams QD Pro scope mount/bolt cover. Machined from a solid billet of 7075-T651 aluminum with a hard-anodized Type Ill (mil-A-8625) finish. No screws, or anything, it slides on, with a very tight fit. Very hard to find. The company went belly up, but some people say that these are the best mounts. The only downside is, if you take it off and on a zillion times, you lose the super snug fit. But who's going to do that?

I keep waiting for someone to offer wood furniture for my DSA FAL -- and so are many other proud FAL owners I know -- so some day an enterprising woodworker will go into business for himself and make a nice living on us. If anyone finds such a person please post it here so we can find him !
