Ordered a 590A1 from Buds
So I ordered a Mossberg 590A1 from budsgunshop.com last night. I will have to travel about 20 miles to the FFL they use but am saving about $40 over any of the other gun shops that are closer. I’ll keep you posted on how the process goes…

I recently bought my first gun from buds.
Everything went extremely smooth (except when my FFL told me they didn't have my rifle because they put it in the wrong pile).

That would make me less than pleased with the FFL.

Does it have the metal trigger group and heavier barrel?

I ordered a 590A1 18" with Ghost Ring setup from Bud's. The shotgun showed up with deep scratches in the receiver so I refused it and am working through the return process. My FFL sent it back and it arrived at Bud's on Friday so hopefully an undamaged one will be coming shortly. It was my first purchase with them. They have seemed helpful on the situation so far but until I actually have what I ordered I will withhold opinion.

That seems pretty fair. Be sure to post the outcome.

The 590A1 does have the heavy barrel and metal trigger group. Its a hoot to shoot. I have the speedfeed stock on mine which is about 1.5 inches too long for my body. Ghost ring rear sight is good enough for slug body shots out to 100 meters.
Gotta love a shotgun with Bayo Lug.

Bud's seems to be tough to beat, BUT if you look hard enough they can. I really don't like their credit card policy. Great looking shotgun!! Looks painful on the shoulder to me if you plan on getting busy with heavier loads. Should serve you well, though!

It was $447.90 from Buds plus whatever you have to pay an FFL for transfer.
