What about:
MALLEE noun
a low-growing bushy Australian eucalyptus that typically has several slender stems. • Genus Eucalyptus, family Myrtaceae: several species, in particular E. dumosa.
• scrub that is dominated by mallee bushes, typical of some arid parts of Australia.[/L]
If we're going buy that rule - we'll need to go back a little further....
Or even:
The CHIERS (Luxembourgish: Kuer, German: Korn) is a river in Luxembourg, Belgium and France. It is a right tributary to the river Meuse. Its total length is about 130 km.
The source of the Chiers is near Differdange, in Luxembourg. The Chiers flows roughly in western direction.

I guess all of us were lazy in not challenging them in time...some would argue that Australia still uses the English language. ..the game rolls on....

Thomas Falcon HAZELL DSO, MC, DFC & Bar (7 August 1892 -4 Sept 1946) was a fighter pilot with the Royal Flying Corps, and later, the Royal Air Force during World War I. Falcon scored 43 victories between 1917-18 making him the fifth most successful British “flying ace” during the war, and the third most successful Irish-born pilot, behind Edward Mannock and George McElroy, as well the only pilot to survive the war from both groups.

BABELS is an international network of volunteer interpreters and translators that was born out of the European Social Forum (ESF) process and whose main objective is to cover the interpreting needs of the various Social Forums. It is a horizontal, non-hierarchical network, with no permanent structures of any kind.
Headsets for instantaneous translation at London ESF
Babels originated in the process of preparation for the 2002 ESF, a left-wing conference of the anti-globalization movement held in Florence. A small network of 'communication activists' associated with ATTAC France proposed that the conference use only volunteers to interpret the various different languages of the speakers for the audience. There was some debate about the quality of volunteer translators but the cost of professionals helped sway the argument. A last-minute call went out for volunteers to which 600 people responded and which finally resulted in around 350 volunteer interpreters and translators for the Forum. The group had no official space to work from and little funds so had to squat a medieval tower.
Good Grief...

Habels Furniture Stores have been in Winchester since 1945, when Mr Jack Habel and his wife Gretel opened their first shop making their own beds and upholstery for sale to the public.

Here's a common everyday word:
Under penalty of law, the labels on the furniture can only be removed by the owner

Labels was used on the previous page, post #670. Back to Habels.
There is a handy "search this thread" feature near the top of each page. I use that a lot to ensure my proposed word hasn't been used before. Welcome!

The HAZELS (Corylus) are a genus of deciduous trees and large shrubs native to the temperate northern hemisphere. The genus is usually placed in the birch family Betulaceae,[1][2][3][4] though some botanists split the hazels (with the hornbeams and allied genera) into a separate family Corylaceae.
They have simple, rounded leaves with double-serrate margins. The flowers are produced very early in spring before the leaves, and are monoecious, with single-sex catkins, the male pale yellow and 5–12 cm long, the female very small and largely concealed in the buds, with only the bright red 1–3 mm long styles visible. The seeds are nuts 1–2.5 cm long and 1–2 cm diameter, surrounded by an involucre (husk) which partly to fully encloses the nut.

McKinley Morganfield (April 4, 1913[1] – April 30, 1983), known as Muddy Waters, was an American blues musician, generally considered the Father of modern Chicago blues. Blues musicians Big Bill Morganfield and Larry "Mud Morganfield" Williams are his sons. A major inspiration for the British blues explosion in the 1960s,[2] Muddy was ranked #17 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.[3]
