Dry fire a 442?

In all my 41+ years, the majority of which have been spent owning/shooting firearms, I have never owned a revolver. Until now... I've recently added a 442 to my stable. Can it be dry-fired safely, or do I need to invest in snap caps? Thanks!

Got a 340PD that I do dry fire...

People I've spoken to, in several law enforcement & military groups, have said they do w/ a variety of weapons.

As for me, about the only pistol I would NEVER dry fire...would be rimfires.

Dry firing won't do any damage but snap caps are cheap.
