Why does a company have to apologize for donating to a conservative organization, yet not even release that it gives to liberal ones?

I couldn't tell you why things like this happens. I don't usually care about things like this. All you can really do is not let something like this get you all tied up in knots. If you don't agree with what an organization does or how they contribute money, you don't have to do business with them anymore.
I would have told those fruits to jump into the lake...
