what is a fair price

for a used tag heuer link quartz watch? It is a pawn shop find and the owner is going to allow me the chance to take it to an AD to authenticate before purchase.

I've seen them brand new for under $1000 for the nonchrono model. You can knock off at least 20% for used if in mint condition.

well then I guess $300 is a good deal. The only thing that is going to be a pain is the previous owner had a case of girly wrist and I am going to need a few links to fit my wrist which I have found out could be pricey.

oh and the model number is WT1110(black face with 12 9 and 6 non chrono professional 200m)

Links can run as high as $100 per link on your bracelet.

Try this site for cool bands: www.panatime.com
OEM bands can run just as high. I know leather bands for Panerai cost at least $300. My cheap Hamilton watch ran $75 just for a replacement buckle, not including the leather.
