Slide Lock Question

OK. So the wife "adopted" my 226. She just fell in love with it so it's now hers. But she is having the same problem I have with SIG'S in that my right thumb ALWAYS makes contact with the slide lock while firing. Is there an aftermarket piece I can use so this will not be an issue or is it just the way it is and I need to work with her and adjust her grip?

I have seen some folks cut back the slide lock release but that is something I would not do. I would work on grip placement before going to that extreame.

Well I think I solved the problem. At least from the mechanical side. I got her some Hogue finger groove grips. Her thumb stays far enough away she doesn't even come close to the lock and she likes the feel over the factory plastic. Now it's just a matter of dry firing and putting rounds downrange.
