My 1000th round, Lee Progressive Press

I just finished my 1000th round of 9mm in my Lee Progressive Press and I have nothing bad to say about it, it has given me great ammunition and it is really reliable. It may have been a pain to set up but once it got set up it has run amazingly.

Just my .02 on the Lee 9mm Progressive Press

Glad to hear you are happy with your press, it's a fun hobby. Which press do you have?

I have the Lee Pro 1000, I have had lots of people give negative reviews about it but it seems to be the prefect press for me.

Seems most people like the Pro1000 a lot moe than the load master. I like my Lee turret press, but don't think I would go that way for a progresive. Congrats though!

I have a classic turret. A buddy of mine has a P1000 and loves it. He said it runs pretty much problem free and I know he loads a lot of ammo.

I used the Pro 1000 (Actually several) in the early 90's. I had some issues, but once you master them, they are good presses for a realtively cheap price.

Enjoy!

I never used a loadmaster, but I get the same feeling. My P1000 has been running for decades. My experience is much like the OP, except I have gone through many more cases of primers than he has. The LM, for the most part, sems to cause a lot of grief, but the P1000, with it's simplicity, generally works well.

A thousand is a good start. Let us know how it is doing at 10K. 50K and 100K.

Right now I am knocking out 2K a month for myself. By October I will have passed 50K of 40SW and 10K 9MM with my 550. SO far the only thing I have had to do other than clean it was to replace the plastic tips on the pick up tubes.

Same here. My buddy with the P1000 bought a LM a while back and doesn't like it as much as the P1000.

Yet another of life's little ponderings. If Shotgun falls into that pitcher of blue Kool-Aid and starts to drown, do we pull him out?

Congrats glockuniverse! Like my cigar habit, this has been a slippery slope. I'm at somewhere around 70k or 80k on my Dillon 650. Good times... and there's always a new toy I JUST HAVE TO HAVE!!
