I have been looking at two different knives, one being the Sog Seal Pup Elite and the other being the Benchmade Nim Cub 2. Im on the fence between the two knives, I hear go with the Benchmade because it has better steel and I hear many others giving lots of praise to their Seal Pups. This woud be intended for a survival knife, yes I would use it hard and most likely beat on it a bit so I would like it to hold up. Thank you MikeyU

Dear MikeyU,

My gut feel would be the SOG knife. I've not ever handled the Benchmade knife but I've had the SOG in my hand. Seems pretty substantial to me.
