Very nice! It looks too nice and expensive to actually use in the woods. Beautiful knife!

I like that. It's sort of a short bladed machete. Looks like a good choice for a camp knife.
If it's heavy bladed it would also replace a hatchet.

I have a few to choose from, but my go to knife is the RTAK II. 6th pointy thing to the right in the pictuure. If I need something smaller a Cold Steel SRK or a Fallkniven F1 fill in nicely.

On a side note, if I know I have a bunch of brush to clear or build a shelter then a good 'ol USGI Ontario Matchette is my tool of choice.

Regards,
Rob

Here is a pic of my WELL WORN USA made Cold Steel SRK with Carbon V steel - bottom knife in picture. Shown along with a brand new Kydex sheath I made for it today. This is a great multi purpose Bush Knife!

The Cutting Edge

If I'm just bumming around in the woods, I'll carry the bottom one. It's a 12" CAK.
If I'm camping, the 3rd from the top. It's a 16.5" WWII. They are all from HI. I also have, but no pic, an R-10 from the same place. Outstanding knife. 5" blade, 5" handle.

I use a Benchmade Rave DPT w/440C blade for GP outdoor use. It's about the perfect size for gutting/skinning or doing the odd job in camp. Any chores that call for something bigger and the Gerber axe gets the call.

Thanks. Since there are a few more models I want, I like to call it a good start.

I just bought one of these. The Ka-Bar Potbelly. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet but it seems like it will be a good chopper and slicer.

Benchmade Mel Pardue-designed "Rant". Best, toughest, stainless knife I've ever used.

A perfect condition Cattaraugus 225Q. I had a heavy leather sheath made for it. Excellent heavy blade. For small stuff I use a older Browning fixed blade drop point.
