I'll refinish your slide
In appreciation of all the work I have gotten from you guys....
I would like to offer a fellow glock talker the chance for me to refinish their slide for free. Just ship and to me and I will do the rest.
Item will be media blasted and refinished Duracoat HK Black.
I will even pay the return shipping!
Please refer to link below for pictures and feedback.
http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1110210
To qualify - Anyone interested in this service must post a picture of their slide thats been beaten to death, ugly, crappy, neglected, painted pink, etc The picture of said item must be posted in this thread. Then in 48hrs the person with the worst/junkiest example (by my standards) will get to have me polish their turd. Again this service is for the slide only.

After

How about a poor polished barrel?
Want to do a polished G26 barrel back to black?

Mine's not that fugly, but it does have rust spots from FL weather and my sweat, no matter what I do. Unfortunately I just worked the gun over to try to help the spots, so they are not going to show up well here, but I'll try!
Rust all around the slide here
Hard to get a good pick, but there is a rust spot next to "Austria" and then tiny spots running down the top of the slide's edge and right next the barrel on the bottom, like I said, not horrible, just not nice!
Thanks for the chance!

This was my fathers service pistol which was handed down to me when I got my pistol permit. It was kept in a fire proof safe and caused very light surface rust.
as you can see from the pictures, please let me know if you will help.

Lyptix, is it too late to photograph a slide and then send it to you?

Got the Barrel! Looks GREAT!!!
I wanted to publically thank Steven for refinishing the barrel I sent him under his "good business freebies."
The story was that I bought a Glock that the seller had polished the barrel to bright and shiny. Ugh!
I was going to try a permanent Sharpie on the tip and hood so that the visible porions were closer to black and stock. Then this offer comes along and off the barrel went to Ohio.
I got it back this afternoon, and it looks great! Not shiny or chrome, nice and black now!
I'll try to post a picture tomorrow of my own.
Thanks again, Steven!!

Also a HUGE thanks from me! My freebie slide came back looking great! Just like new! So did my paid slide as well. Superior work!

Wow that is remarkable work! I wish this wasn't several months old...My G36 flopped out of my holster while I was jumping across puddles and it slid across the pavement. The damage is minor but being that its brand new is really upsetting.
At least I know who I'll be sending it to when the time comes!
