Who packs their 40sw for camping, hunting, hiking?

We have a Who owns a 40 thread so I thought it would be interesting to see who packs their 40 out in the wilderness. Maybe include boating, atv, etc.

I pack my G23c in a serpa holster when I am in the outdoors usually loaded with 180 Fmj or 180 Hp. I would like to get a G27 for a secondary while hunting so my rifle doesn't hit it so much.

I carry my 27 with me almost everywhere I go, and that includes hunting, ATV riding, and fishing and camping.

I do. My G23 has went practically everywhere with me, right on my side. The size, the weight, and the capacity make it a wonderful choice. It's potent enough to take care of anything one might run into, shy of a brown bear.

I carry my G23 everyday. When I carry my G20, 10mm I still carry my G23. I wear it hunting, camping, sporting events, church. You name it, I carried there. Some places I don't dare reveal on a public forum. Yes I carry it EVERYWHERE.

2" x 3" ? Try if from a good two point rest. Call bull if you want but I have yet to pick up a Glock (except those in 45ACP) I can't hit a 10" gong at 100 yards every single time from a good rest. (the 45ACP are very accurate at shorter ranges. I just have trouble keeping them on 100% at 100 yards) The way they lock up the sights are in the same relationship with the barrel every time. I have found then to be extremely accurate. Last weekend I had no trouble hitting small water puddles in a field below me at 250 yards as lazered with my Swarovski range finder.

I have a G20 and carry it in every outdoors capacity. I have ordered a 40 conversion barrel for it so when I'm out camping or scouting and I feel like burning a little powder I will just drop in the barrel and burn some cheaper rounds. I reload so this option is great.

While hiking, hunting and scouting I carry the G20 with full house loads. I can't wait to see a cougar again.

My Glock 22 gets carried a lot in the winter and spring when out on show shoes. I load it for the field with 180 grain Speer TMJ's. Light weight and 15 rounds of .40 ammo the Glock 22 is a very good companion for the field. The performance is real close to the 38/44 S&W Outdoorsman in a lighter package with 2.5 times the ammo capacity. I have more powerful handguns but the ease of carry with the Glock makes it a top choice for me.

I've read of someone fatally shooting a bear (don't remember black/brown/panda) with a few shots from a 23 at center mass. It was in one of the annual Glock mags

I either carry my S&W 442 or G23 depending on the weather.

I used to carry my H&K P2000SK with EFMJ from Federal, police loadings.

No longer have a pistol in .40 S&W but I do carry my little 9mm Kel-Tec or full sized S&W, now that Ohio got it's various laws to agree on the statues.
