Kimber CDP
Hey everyone. Long time lurker, and just wanted to say what a great site with tons of useful information!
I have been looking at a Kimber CDP full size, and my local dealer has a new one which he is asking $1250 for out the door. Would you go for this deal, or keep looking?
thanks!

I have a CDP II Pro that I have had no trouble with at all. Picked it up for $1,050. You may be able to find a little bit lower price if you look around. Hopefully others can flesh that out a little bit.
Good luck!

I would offer $1150, see if he takes it. $1250 is a bit pricey.

I love my CDP, but that's a bit steep.

The CDP is a fine 1911, it was actually my first one. I paid $1050 out the door for mine, though that was a couple years ago, and I've bought quite a few guns from my dealer. I think if you check around a little you could do better than $1250.

Thanks guys, I thought it was a bit steep as well. Going back today and see if I can "whittle" away at the price a bit. Appreciate the feedback.

Some dealers will "deal," some will not.

If the dealer will not reduce the price; see if you can get him to through in ammo enough to break it in.

Ditto. I think I gave $1100-$1150 for mine. Great gun though.

Well, he was pretty set on $1250 out the door. But I was able to get him to throw in a Galco IWB holster, a box of gold dots, a cleaning rod, and an extra Wilson 47D mag. Must have had a quota to meet :-)
Can't wait to try it out. thanks again for the advice.
Russ - very nice looking pistol.
