Hi Mas!

What is your opinion of the use of “LE Restricted” magazines for SD carry? Do you know of any legal issues surrounding them and self-defense shootings?

To me, the only difference between these types of magazines & standard “non-LE” is the “LE/GOVT RESTRICTED” writing on the magazine itself.

If the shooting goes down in a jurisdiction that still bans hi-cap, they'll paint you as a scofflaw with a "continuing pattern of behavior of breaking gun laws."

Anyplace else, if they're stupid enough to bring it up, a well-prepared defense lawyer should be able to easily neutralize the argument with testimony that they're no longer illegal; they're among the most popular in mainstream handgun purchases; they're the overwhelming choice of the cops who protect us and are therefore modeled on; and a gazillion of them have gone out into trade as LE weapons from 1994-2004 have been traded in and entered the commercial mainstream.
