Gen4 Frame with Gen3 Slide?

JR,

A Gen4 G23 Frame mated with a Gen3 G38 Slide = paperweight or can I effectively get a Gen4 G38 out of it with proper parts exchange?

(I guess this question could apply across the board for Gen4 frames used with Gen3 slides)

Depending on your answer I would either buy a Gen3 for its slide OR more likely just buy a whole new top end. It appears from your previous posts that I will also have to have to replace the ejector with a short/bent for the GAP round.

Of course I will pick up the correct magazines too.

You can install the slide however the end of the frame will be open. (wide open) It looks all kinds of wrong.
FYI: LWD will be offering 45 GAP slides soon.

Super glad to hear that - These will be Gen4 GAP slides?

JR - Please PM with date/time expected for delivery - I wont announce it, but I'm negotiating to buy a 38 & 39 right now from different people ... but won't need to buy and could save a ton of money if the LWD GAP slides are coming out in a relatively short period of time.

Its no big secret. We are working on a GAP slide now. We intend to modify the G22 slides to accept the GAP round.
FYI: The original Glock GAP pistols were manufactured this way.
