Bob Chapman thinks the new Hong Kong exchange could draw as much as 30% of business from the gangsters at the Chicago exchange.

This news is positive for gold and silver prices...

We attempt to measure that irresistable urge to handle gold and silver coins...it's called the "Fondle Index" ...

It's usually strongest after a healthy price run-up...

You may be right. Come to think of it, I used to fondle my bars once a week or so...since the fall in price I couldn't be bothered with them...

I don't have a 1oz gold piece but they are satisfyingly large. Not quite as large as an American Silver Eagle but still.

Now those little 1/10 American Gold Eagles are tiny. Easy to lose if you aren't careful. I'd love to have a few tubes of 50 each.

The 1/10 gold eagles are tiny. Even in its plastic disc/case mine is losably small. The 1/2 oz isn't too bad. Don't have a full ounce piece yet though. :(

Really?? Silver jumps two and a half points in a few hours and no one's going to say anything???

Fine I will...

Give it a week. We'll either be down to the 20's or up in the 40's!

...my prediction anyways.

gold may hit 1600 by the end of the week.

One prognosticator, Ann Barnhardt says Gold at $7500 before its all over.

I'm thinking I want to know when! That will tell me what I need to start doing.

If it is a couple of weeks, I am going to party like it's 1999 (and I am not a party guy).

If it is 5 years, I need to shift into high gear on deepening preps and forget about saving retirement.

30 years and I just start building a bunker to store non-perishable items that will be in short supply for my kids.
