Gen 4 G37
Wow, they did a nice job. Can't wait to shoot this thing. Just couldn't wait for a G38! I can't find the post regarding the FBI possibly considering the GAP or G37? What is the skinny on that? If it is an official RFP and specifies the .45 GAP, we may end up with more manufacturers trying to meet that need.
All I can say is the naysayers just need to try this round next to a similar sized gun in .40, that's when they will appreciate it for what it is, that and if they (other manufactures) put it in smaller weapons with .45 firepower the benefit of the cartridge will become apparent.

Agreed. I still want a CCO config EMP in GAP.

Thanks, I can wait. The dual nested spring aka the 26/27/39 are much better for recoil control and what they've done to the grip is a good improvement.

I actually saw the reference to the FBI in a post here in Glocktalk, but I can't find it. I was hoping someone would chime in if they had any insight. You can bet if the FBI interested in the specific caliber and made an offical "request for proposal" other manufactures might get on board.
I really would love to see a single stack GAP Gen4 with 36 width slide and frame, but do away with the stupid pinky extension.
By the way can someone please help me change my stupid username from "rrrr" I did that years ago and have been living with it but damn it's ridiculous.
Note to self, don't register when drinking!!

FBI facts to ponder:
1. Most FBI Glock 40's were purchased in 1998
2. Congress has approved $40,000.000 for purchases of Glocks and $40,000,000 for purchases of S&W's by Federal Agencies
3. The 40 was 8 years old when adopted by the FBI
4. The GAP is now 7 years old
5. The FBI is very satisfied with recent tests of Federal HST in 147-gr +P 9mm ammo and 230-gr GAP ammo.
If it is decided to replace the aging G22's and G23's:
1. Replace with Gen4 40's
2. Replace with Gen4 GAP's
3. Replace with Gen4 9's
4. Replace with S&W MP's.

And IMO only 5 of those years really count as;
1: 2 years in a recession with cost cutting across the board.
2: Ive been told and it makes sense that GAP is produced on the same line as ACP but only produced once a surplus of ACP has been achieved.
Since there hasnt been a surplus of ammo for almost any caliber in a while, the GAP was hurt the most out of the more popular calibers.
Now that ammo availability is picking up again, we should start seeing more GAP too.
Was told that Buffalo Bore is coming out with something next year too.

I think in the LE world it will come down to 40 and 45 gap . The 9 seems not enoughand they dont dont want to buy 45acp .
