Hornady bullets
I am trying to find Hornady 55 grain FMJBT bulk bullets
I tryed widners and mid way / mid south . Can't find them 
Anybody know whos has them at a disent price

If you HAVE to have Hornadys TJconavera has them for $82/500.
Also usually has Winchesters for $92/K but seems to be out

Just looked didn't see 55 grain FMJBT .
I really don't want to mass with the press or work up a new load .

I don't reload for rifle, so I'm not 100% positive this is what your looking for and I'm not sure what prices are like for those components.
That said, I have ordered from these guys before a couple times with no issues. They have a mess of different bullets that may meet your needs.

My ammo supplier recommended that I switch to the Hornady FMJBT and even though it is a little more expensive I find it easily worth the cost. We did some experimenting with the loads and tried 3 different loads. I don't know what powder he uses but he made me 20 rounds each of loads at 24.5gr, 24.7gr, and 24.9 grains. I found that in my Colt LE6920 the 24.7gr loads were far and away the most consistant/accurate. Out of 50rnds at 50 yds I can get around thirty rnds in a 2 3/4" bullseye and the rest easily in the 9-ring using the iron military sights. The 24.5gr load get about 20 in the bullseye with 2 or 3 in the 8-ring and the rest in the 9-ring. We wont even discuss the 24.9gr loads. They were all over the place.
Before switching to Hornady my supplier was using Winchester bullets. The definitely lack the ability to give that consistant accuracy.
Keep on looking for the Hornadys they are definitely worth waitng/paying a little extra for. I mean it.

That's my favorite plinking projectile for the AR. I normally get them (Hornady bulk) from MidSouth (around $18/250). Unfortunately, they've been out for a long time, although 6000 count box seems available.
I got some 55gr FMJBT from Midway this month (Armscor brand) for a similar good price. Looks like they are no longer on sale, but the price isn't too bad. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...ber=2586165491
IIRC, Berry's has the Hornady bulk projectile available as well.

I have 2000 Horn 55 gr bthp you might talk me outta. PM if intersted.
I suggest looking at the Horn 55 gr SP w/c. IIRC I set my oal the same as the bthp and the charge is the same. I get the same poi with both but the groups with the SP are much smaller.
IMO the Horn 55 gr SP Flat base w/c is a better bullet....much better.

Places have them, you'll just have to pay a premium. I just ordered some from Powder Valley last night, but I paid up the ass  $11.83 for 100.
But they are also my favorite plinking rounds and I only bought 500. For me the high price was worth not having to worry about it for a little while.
