A blissful loading session upcoming!

It is a rare occasion indeed when the Loading Gods smile down upon you, all the planets line up in celestial tranquility and the satellite high definition signal is at optimum strength. Today is one of those days and it shall not be wasted...

IT'S NASCAR RACE DAY AT TALLADEGA!

Being Halloween the grandchildren will be resting and conserving energy for a night of door knocking and candy crunching.

The son-in-law is off making money on a side job during this tough economy and the daughter will undoubtedly be plotting ways to spend the unanticipated windfall.

Dawg is safely ensconced in her pen out back contentedly barking at the deer and occasional bear that wanders by while engaged in pre-hibernation foraging.

I am set! Caliber choice is a non-event for this session, the press with the most direct and unobstructed view of the flat-panel will be used. Munchies and appropriate beverages have already been strategically placed within arm's reach on the benches and the oxygen concentrator has been turned up to a five liter outflow to provide life sustaining colorless and odorless gas during the breathtaking 'BIG ONE' that routinely occurs at Talladega.

Keeping powder settled in the measure is not a concern since the surround sound system is set a a window rattling level which will insure that crash caused vibrations keep the powder at a consistent flow.

All is set and I'm as happy as a pig in mud!

Lets go racin' boys... BOOGITY, BOOGITY, BOOGITY!!!

As Reloaders we should adapt the load to the gun, not the gun to the load.

Jack has anyone told you about autodrive for the 1050? No more handle. just push a petal with your foot and the press runs itself.

That would let Jack multi-task. He could eat, drink and reload at the same time.

Yeah, maybe he could hem the curtains with that thing while he's at it.

Why would I need an electric motor... I've been doing that for decades.

Oh, Oh!! I know, he could chain a 13yo Cambodian girl to it and let her run it for him for 23 hours a day. When he has enough ammo, he could have her sew socks and such for Walmart.

I assume that thing works pretty much like this one.

This is a 12 gauge MEC 9000H (hydraulic, not electric) loader. Works like a champ, loaded many, many hundreds of boxes on it when I was doing a lot of skeet and trap shooting. (Now you can buy a new truck for what a bag of shot costs. You go through a lot less of it shooting black powder trap.)

Have had it for years but brand new it cost me right around $325. The actuator for the 1050 is $850, not counting the cost of the press and the cost of the bullet feeder. I don't think so... the butler works cheaper than that.

Found it interesting that it's made by Ponsness Warren... they sell their hydraulic shotgun loader for $1300... they must be real proud of it.

When I saw that motorized attachment for the 1050, I thought JMorris had been at it again...
