New Sig P290 mini-sig

http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/sig-sauer-p290/

I'm surprised you sig guys didn't post this sooner. Looks like the boys in Germany are listening to American gun buyers finally and put out a truly sub-compact 9mm pistol ala mini-glock. Looks like it's built off the P250 frame. Hope the trigger is better than the P250 or P290 will meet the same fate as the P250. My buddy is an Air Marshal and they hate the P250 and want their 229's back.

There's hope for that model, but based on past performance, a lot of us have been underwhelmed with Sig reliability. That's why most of us are taking a snooze on this one.

Wake me up next Spring.

Not a thing wrong with the 250 trigger.

I'll second that. I used to be proud of my sigs. My original P229 .357 was the bomb. It's sister P220 .45 ACP. Not so much. Maybe it was the ammo I was feeding it and maybe it was the pistol it's self but either way there were far to many FTF and even some FTE problems at unexpected times. The 220 was definitely not a pistol you would want to depend on when you needed it. The 229 I wish I would have never sold.

I'm not a big fan of the P250 or this.

It's a small CCW 9mm for cryin' out loud. It won't have a Camp Perry trigger!! The biggest selling point will be IF it can digest +p and +p+ ammo IMO, behind reliability of course.
