My wife has a very small business, making a confection. She received an unsolicited email from an outfit called HotFrog, offering to list her business. I cannot find anything relevant other than their own PR. My "gut" says don't bother but I am curious to know if anyone has any knowledge of HotFrog.

I received one of these too. I checked with my wife and she also received one. [separate businesses] We both think it is a scam. I would delete it and never look back. I didn't even go look at the website, since that can work against you too. A spammer like that probably has a way to install identity theft junk, robots, or adware on your computer if you go forward.

Are there no good business names left? The only one available was hotfrog?

There are probably more "business listing" websites than there are businesses. Google your company name, and you will see it listed on dozens of them.
