GTR Theme Song
All great groups need a theme song. I suggest that we start looking for a GTR theme song. You old timers dust off your records and 8 Tracks. I'm sure we can all agree on one soon enough

I'm going to work on it. First we have to narrow things down a bit. All the Southern Rock/Country stuff about whiskey and guns is too predictable, passe'.
It must be Soul. Think Isley Brothers, Curtis Mayfield, something rightious like that. No decision can be made until Rusty gets here.

It would seem that this fits perfectly with Wisky and all the newbs... they can identify with the graceful, fluid motions on a level consistent with their machismo.

Yes FAIL I got tired of their played out wannabe populist medicocre music when every 12 yo on my street could play their music better than they could. Try some Elvin Bishop or Allman's or either of the Winter brothers or Stevie Ray Vaughn for something that still sounds fresh 30 years later.

What do they have to do with it? I didn't mention them, don't care for them. We were talking about 'a' band, that you seemed to sneer at just because of some politicking they did 30 years ago? Anybody can get tired of hearing the same song over and over and over again. No doubt. The two songs I mention get played alot because *they are popular*. People like them. Yes, if you hear them alot, they get old, but there is *no doubt* they are classics of history.
How's this.... Kid Rock sampled Sweet Home Alabama in his song "All Summer Long" in 2009. If it's good enough for a pretty hip dude like him, it's good enough for me.
For the other folks you mention, I listen to them as well... at least the Allman's and SRV. Great artists. Doesn't mean Lynyrd Skynyrd sucked.
Not sure who pissed in your Corn Flakes this morning, but your attitude has been really pissy this whole thread.
