Bullets in double tap and Georgia arms?

I am in the process of buying some ammo for my 29. A while ago it seems like to me I read that some of the more popular manufactures were substituting cheaper bullets for what was supposed to be more popular bullets. Seems like to me they (maybe more than one) were substituting something for the gold dots.
Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? Is this still happening? Anything to stay away from?
Thanks guys.

I think it's still happening with Double Tap and Buffalo Bore. At least I know the Buffalo Bore 10mm 180gr's that we stock at Cabela's and which advertises Gold Dots on the box is actually loaded with Montana Gold bullets. They even look pretty crappy.

Personally I recommend Swamp Fox (http://www.swampfoxgunworks.com/swampfox/) if he sells you something that is advertised as "Gold Dots" then that's what you're getting.
