38 Super?
Whats your favorite 38 super in 1911? Or what do you think is the "best"? (I know thats subjective too )

I only buy them in 45ACP, but the 38 Super was actually the only cartridge designed specifically for the 1911.

I don't know about the "best" Super you can buy, but I will say I love both of mine. It's an excellent cartridge and there are quite a few manufacturers offering 1911s chambered in 38 Super.

I do not own any in .38 super but in 9mm. I am very pleased with my Springfield Custom Carry and I am sure I would be pleased with in .38 super as well.
In .38 super I like .38 super fan's RRA.

I second that.
Not sure I can make any personal recommendations. I have a few .38 supers, but they were all custom builds and all have compensators and dot sights.
I wish the 9x23 would have took off. That would have made sweet carry option with modern loadings such as Gold Dots, HSTs, etc.

It's a fun gun, I enjoy it.
Recoil is mild and the gun is pretty controllable.

Maybe the next time we're up, I'd like to take another look at the Witness. It's very Sphinx-esque isn't it?

Great guns.
