Man, that G30 shoots lights out! I'd ditch that Heinie if I was you.

Congratulations. I love my Nighthawk Heinie Tactical Carry pistol. It's stupid accurate and reliable, but I wish the hard chrome finish held up better than it does.

How is it not "holding up"? Hardchrome is one of the toughest finishes out there.

about the magwell
this is from the night hawk sight:
Per Richard's instructions, we shorten the frame and then attach the Heinie magazine well. The frame stays its original length, so this affords you the fast reloads that normally are only associated with pistols that have an extended magazine well extension that lengthens the grips

I'm curious as well.
I don't carry my Nighthawks, but the Metaloy hard chrome seems great so far.

I have some pictures I can share later, but basically the butt of the pistol (MSH & Frame) where it contacts my body during carry is starting to show corrosion and the finish isnt there anymore. It's in very small patches and spots, you have to look close to see it well, but it has been getting bigger/worse. My biggest gripe is I've only had the gun for like 4-5 months and only carry it a couple days a week.
I am working with Nighthawk to have it re-finished. They said they have seen this before with hard chrome and different people's body chemistry/sweat etc will affect the finish differently.

That is my favorite Nighthawk 1911 model. Especially with the HC two tone finish. Nice gun.

The Enforcer is sweet!! I really like the setup's that Haley and Costa use with the Enforcer recon frame and predator upper. Mine is going to be a similar design, but it wont get used in the same ways they use it so things like integral magwell and plunger tube dont really justify the extra cost in my situation

I got this yesterday. It's a Predator II with a few extras. The picture was rushed and so the colours aren't accurate. The slide is a colour called "Dark Earth". I jerked the picture around in software but it still isn't right but will give you the idea.

BAC1023 You made some of the same choices as I did. You got stippling and I went the scallop route. That bobtail changes the whole feel of a 1911 to me. It fits me like a glove whereas the standard grip feels too angular. There are lots of differences of course including the rear sight but it's is essentially the same pistol. I think you have to shoot it to know just how good this gun is.
