What kind of 1911 grips are these?
Anyone know what kind of grips are on the 1911 in this picture below? I think I need them!
...or, can anyone recommend a few brands/models of 1911 grips to me that are similar to the ones in this picture? I'm a newbie to the 1911 world.

Yea they definitely look like the gunners. They are a little different looking then the Recon's by VZ but both are great grips. I dont think either companies make them with a flat bottom for a magwell though and Im not sure why not

These are the VZs. The edges were rounded a little though.

They make special runs every now and then . I got two sets through Randy at 1911grips.com.

those in the OP's first pic look to me like Rob Simonich Gunner's...I have a pair when Rob was still alive and making them and I have a slightly newer pair and there is a BIG difference...Rob's were VERY aggressive (smooth to taste...I left mine sharp)...the newer pair is ok but I am glad the pistol they are on has front strap checkering too...the newest Gunner's (Simonich or Strider) appear to me to be more oval in the golf ball like dimples and not nearly as aggressive...
