Hammer bite

I recently bought a Hi-Power but can't shoot it because of the hammer bite. I can't tell if it's the hammer or the slide cutting the web of my hand. Will the various non-bite hammer mods fix this or will I have to get a beaver tail? I'm used to the high hold of a 1911 and can't adjust my hand where it won't cut me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Novak's NoBite hammer should solve your problem.

Thanks. I'll probably send them the gun for the hammer and a set of new sights.

You can also shorten the spur (on the MKIII) and generally be OK.
