Series 80 magazine question

On Colt's website, it lists two magazine models for sale, part numbers SP579991 and SP572491, respectively. They look identical and are both described as "Magazine Assembly, 7 Rd, Stainless, 45 ACP."
Which one do I get for a new Series 80 M1991? Pics below:

Thanks for any info guys!

The ...991 mag is for the Officers Model. The other is for the Gvmt, GC, etc. full size. Fewer Officer's Model mags made--more expensive. The .....491 mag is what you want for a full size Colt Gvmt, Series anything.

Thanks so much, skipsan! You're right: when I look really carefully at the pictures the ...491 mag does seem a little longer. Thanks for helping me spot this.

I missed it the first time. The real clue was that going to the Colt catalog page and clicking on the two items, the description states what they're for. If you didn't know, Brownells sells Colt branded magazines of all configurations--in collaboration with Colt. Brownells prices may be better-or not.

There's a guy in the classifieds here selling Colt 7 rounders for $12 each. Brand new. They aren't stainless, but for $12 who cares?

There's the link.

You can also get stainless Checkmates at Midway.

I would go with the Checkmates. I have one Colt mag and it won't lock the slide back when empty. It's not the gun, since I've tried it on all of my 1911's. The checkmates has never given me a problem.

My colt mag jams on the last round about half the time. I keep looking for a wilson spring and follower kit, but can't muster the courage to pay 8 dollars for shipping for an 8 dollar part.

Number your mags so you can track the ones which have feeding problems... Then cull them from the herd.

I have the same problem. Sometimes the follower on my Colts will jump over the tab on the slide stop. Gotta rip the mag out. My CM, Wilson and Tripps don't do it....

I had the problem with a handful of Colt branded mags. Colt was happily sending me new ones in exchange, but the problem wasn't going away.
I finally bought spring/hybrid follower kits from Tripp and that fixed the problem.

The kits were cheaper than new mags, and I got to keep the Colt branded mag bodies for what ever little that meant. I'm not sure it was an issue, but I was concerned about the metal followers in the new Colt mags and the aluminum frame on the pistol not being compatible, so the hybrid follower solved that problem too, whether it needed solving or not.
